Roman Holiday for Zombies

It's after midnight, so technically I am composing on Saturday. Today (Friday) we walked a marathon (length not speed) three guided tours on foot.  I am soaking my feet in salt water as I write. Aron is making all arrangements and I have to give him credit for cramming as much sightseeing in one day. In order, we walked the Palatine hill ruins, Roman forum, and Coloseum in the morning;
Roman Forum, the political center of ancient Rome
 ate lunch at the Gladiator restaurant and then saw many more ruins, the Capatoline hill buildings, and the Circus Maximus in the afternoon....on a very hot, muggy day. It was starting to feel very much like the Bataan death march, but with incredible scenery!  Sore feet had us walking like zombies, but make no mistake: totally worth the pain and suffering!  I shot hundreds of terrific images, but can only tease you with a few right now.  I'll have to tell and show you the Vatican City sights in a future post, which we also toured earlier this evening.  Enjoy!  Tomorrow, we rent a car and drive a couple of hours south toward Naples (Napoli) to tour the ruins at Pompeii.  More zombie shuffling, I'm sure!  ;)
